A Global Society for Integrated CKM Health

Cardio-Kidney-Metabolic (CKM) disease represents the convergence of the most common chronic conditions of our era. Despite shared biology and overlapping risk, care remains fragmented across specialty silos, and prevention is too often deferred until damage is irreversible.

The Society was formed to close that gap: by building accredited education, convening multidisciplinary faculty, supporting research and innovation exchange, and translating evidence into community-level prevention worldwide.

The Society operates as a strategic initiative under the broader mission of Twinepidemic Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, while maintaining its own identity, programs, and leadership.

Obesity, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease now co-occur in the majority of adults seen in general practice. Therapies exist that improve outcomes across all three axes at once, and interdisciplinary guidance now describes a staged approach to using them. Yet albuminuria still goes untested in most at-risk patients, guideline-directed therapy is started late, and specialty clinics rarely share a single plan.

Existing societies serve their disciplines superbly. What has been missing is a convening body whose entire remit is the space between them — the shared education, shared metrics, and shared pathways that make integrated prevention routine rather than exceptional. That is the gap the CKM Prevention Society was created to fill.
